Swim with Dolphin trips are usually 2 hours on a small-ish boat that carries 8 tourists and 2 guides. 

They leave from Tamarin and La Preneuse Beaches.

There are usually lots of boats in the area, so it can get crowded as the boats follow them to get close so that you can jump out quickly to see them underwater. You can also just stay onboard on the boat and watch the dolphins.

You can also rent kayaks and go on your own.

The dolphins are Bottlenose and Spinner Dolphins who rest and sleep in Tamarin Bay before going to the deep sea for their fishing.

The dolphins are found in the early mornings 7am-9am in the  Tamarin Bay area.
